Hi Electric, I read that you are trading with the 5%ers, could you let me know how you find there system/rules? as next year I will be going with either FTMO or 5%ers. I have a feeling I will go for 5%ers as they offer a more 'relaxed' way of trading (6 months, hold over weekends, news, ...)
Your feedback would be most welcome, do you use EA's with 5%ers? or do you manual trade with them?

Hello there Wanted1974, (your Handle indicates the statute of limitations ran out on you unless you did something far more sinister!). It is nice to know that there are some here that read my posts! There are now two of you that I know of!

Yes I am trading with the 5%er's and trying hard to pass their evaluation. I trade best with EA's as manual trading is a disaster for me. I find that trading for the 5%er's has given me a whole new set of rules and tolerances that I did not have before. I am trying for the second time to pass their evaluation and starting on 01/04/21.

The various plans that you can try at the 5%er's all involve their funds...there are not any demo accounts that you trade. You can choose to have the low risk 120 days to evaluate with & a max 1.5% stop loss & 6:1 exposure or with or the more aggressive 60 days without the stop loss rule and 30:1 exposure. On both timeframes you cannot lose more than 4%. This is NOT a trailing drawdown which they recently changed from.

One point of contention is that they get 50% of your profit! If you make it through your evaluation they quadruple your funds then you get a doubling of funds as you make each 10%. You keep doubling until you get 1.28 million. to trade. That's a lot of money but do not be fooled....you must follow their tight rules that I just explained. One interesting thing is that you get paid your cut monthly and it is not deducted from your progression balance. You keep marching forward trying to get your 10% without any deductions.

I figured that the 5%er's is a good choice for me because I reside in the USA and trading Forex here is highly regulated and I cannot get the leverage that I prefer to trade with and they have these funky FIFO rules to deal with! So the 5%er's solves this problem for me...I get leverage and I'm LEGAL. If not I could become Wanted2021!...Hey! do you like that handle? ... Wanted1974?

Anyways.....

I test EA's...this is what I do. I have a VPS that I pay $24.99/month for and I test other peoples EA's in a unique way and write about them. I forward test them. I use my own tools and do not hook up to Myfxbook or Blue....anybody can do that. Sometimes I get paid for my services but mostly I am a freelancer looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I am currently testing 9 EA's (two of them in this thread M5 & M15). For me backtesting is a waste of time and resources (for coders it is a valuable resource to test your entries and exits). I find that if you can Stress Test instead you will find the right size "can" to fit your EA in. I never get tired of the "chase" and I enjoy writing...soooo...this is what I do. I am going to be profitable this year as I have so many exiting developments from many trading friends from all over the world! I want to wish my My SoeHoe friends and traders a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I agree with you. This robot is next copy like Money Hunter. Looks doog on tester but real is shi..t. Traders don't try on real account . You lost money all time.
 
I am waiting to go live because of posts like yours! I will continue to publish my 2 forward tests as long as I am asked to.

Every EA which used dll from Windows is scam.
I have many very good EA but only for test, small DD big profit. when you put on Demo or real doesn't work or lost account.

Is it possible still...that it could forward test profitably? I understand you have never found that to be true....but is it possible?

I do not want to argue as I am forward testing here publicly and waiting for it to blow up...like all of us? I am proving your point in a way....but I also think there is a possibility of profit.

The M15 test is what I am most interested in. It has been stressed pretty hard thus far. I like the fact that it gets out of trades and can actully book a loss and wait to get back in. Also it trades in two directions and there is not a waste of pippettes with hedging.

I think it is a long leap to say if an EA uses history in its code...it can never be profitable in a real live trade account setting. All it means is that you cannot backtest this EA.

Please "weigh in" on this discussion. I need the input! Don't worry about your English we will figure it out...I have a translator also!

Those in the backtesting camp have a lot of trouble with an EA like this. I want to hear the "pros" and the "cons".

Do you belive this results?. Me not. I don't give my money for this EA. becouse its FAKE.
Every EA used kernel.dll or different .dll from Windows is FAKE, FAKE.
I have expirience 12 years with EA.
You wasted you time.

Testing different EAs is the basis, but since there are many FAKE, I am writing this because it's a waste of time for the ones that are FAKE.
The easiest way to recognize it is .dll
In a moment, I can start a thread where I will be posting super golden games with great results.
Thousands of people will waste time testing and then money.
Because it doesn't work in the real FOREX world

This thread is not about selling stuff...its about use of time. I appreciate the input as my time and computer space is precious to me. Along the way I will try to share what wisdom I have and even if this forward test blows up I hope that some traders have benefitted or my time will truly be lost.

Lets discuss trading and continue with the fine posts in this thread. Remember this is not my thread and I am only doing a forward test for the author. You must contact him if you want to buy this EA as I have nothing to do with it. I do not even have a license to it .. .lol...I hope he will give me one after all I have done! If the forward test continues with its current results and progression I would say this EA is worth several hundred dollars. I would never suggest to purchase this EA as I am a neutral party...but I would ask if the thread author plans on support with updates and set files after you purchase it even if the price goes up.

Right now none of us know if this EA is golden material....But as this EA produces better results the price to buy it will go higher...at least the other developers that I test for do that! I am sure that I will get a license for free and get in on the ground floor. If there are talented readers here that can post results and timeframes contact the thread author and post here in this thread...maybe you can get in on the ground floor too!

I cannot comment on plagiarism and the like. I have my reputation to protect and I did not code this EA. Again, I am just testing it. I have tested many EA's and have noted the inputs resemble other EA's that I have tested...but in examining the code they are not the same. So I have learned not to get involved at all. There was a bad experience I had in the past that I wish not to discuss other than I was wrong to accuse a good friend and a very talented coder (used geometry and mathematical expressions in code far ahead of any mt4 coder here) of plagiarism. He dropped me like a rock in which I was sorry for.

Just jumping in here to let you know there is an interesting EA that i am back testing right now and will try on live next week, its the latest thread in this forum, with newer version of FlexEA. Very interesting...
 
2021 has come, the next expectation is this ea can work and raised more profit
the main advantage of using ea is not involved emotion except ea causing margin call.
