Dear
autotradingportfolio,
I have seen the backtest posted few pages ago referring v1 v2 v4. But the currencies developed also in v4 the total results, I'm speaking in for gained, v1 taken more than latest version. I'm wrong or is it effectively so?
What should be better v4 respect v1 and v2?
Thanks a lot for your job!
Hi
Raffus
Maybe you mean the version 2.0, because this is the first version we release in this forum, we don't put the version number on the EA name.
Yes it's true that version 2.0 has higher System Quality Number (SQN is the standard value we use to measure the performance) than the later versions (version 3.0 and 4.0) based on backtest, if you read our previous posts, you'll know that version 3.0 and 4.0 are not the replacement for version 2.0/2.9, we use different approach for the later versions, the main difference is, it has fixed, visible hard SL and TP.
We develop version 3.0 and 4.0 because some members complaint the lack of SL and TP, In fact the version 2 has internal SL and TP mechanism that is not visible.
They also complaint for very long trading period and also the profit eating swap fees, we use no swap acount, so we have no problem with swap, but not all members can afford it.
While the version 2.0 has higher SQN, the later version has adventage too, it's easier to update thanks to it's fixed SL and TP.
Which one is better? we don't know, maybe version 2.0 or maybe version 3.0/4.0, or maybe both of them bad. It depends on your situation, will you able to withstand the very long trading period? Can you trade without SL and TP? Do you have a non swap account?
Best regards.
