looks good to me. When the Free Margin falls below 25% of your Account Balance the FM_lot is used. eg if you have 548 balance, the FM_Lot will be used after your Free Margin falls below 137 but you have 162 in your image. The ea did not use FM_Lot because the free margin is above 137.

I hope you can understand now. if you do not, then, ask again, i will attempt to say it again in different words.

Also, it was not wise to trade with an ea last week. EAs depend of the markets staying at average, but news creates many false signals. Last week had major news in all the major currencies. You should not trade with any ea during weeks with big news events. Only manual trading. Look at the news calendar fro last week, there is red and yellow events on every day last week. DO NOT trade with any ea during weeks like that. If you are not a confident doing manual trades o your live account, then practice with a demo.

As Traders, we need to check the news calendar at the start of the week, and decide which days we can trade. Also which days we can trade with our eas, and which days to trade manual trades only. In my opinion, leaving an ea trade 24/5 during a week when there is major news events every day is very UNWISE.

I believe that redhawk would have big floating losses if he did not use a news filter. The same big dd that he has when using the news filter. It was a bad week for trading with eas. Every day had a major news event occur, and those will affect the day before and day after the news event. A way to avoid them might be to increase the block time period to 4 hours before and after those news events, however, that does not have much free time to trade.

But check this thread for ice fx news files. I think there is 3 different versions you could try.

Hello shady: I was testing your Ea, it looks good, but why only in sell? , when the trend in buy? Why not take advantage of it? You stay with the blocked system until you reach those minimums, thank you very much for letting me try your system!

Moreover in the other account when I use the EA without news filter and with Trailing stop the EA has a floating of only -85 usd and earnigs were higher this week.

Yes, that is why i like using Trail stop with this ea. I get less profits in the stable weeks, but also less floating losses in the bad trading weeks. However, this ea, like most other eas, depends on indicators to detect the trend. But indicators depend on the markets being at average. But the news makes this impossible for the rsi to be at an average. So, trading with it or other ea is too risky. Using the ea with Trail stop lowers the risk, but in my opinion: all trading with eas in big news weeks, is too risky.

OK, I see that also next week there are many news in particular on Wednesday and Friday, so better no use EAs?

news levels arent as bad as last week. IMO you are ok if you stay away from GBP pairs. And remember to use trail stop. It causes more trades to close with small profit, that would bounce back into loser area if you dont have trail stop.

optimal trail stop varies every week. In weeks when high volatility and major news, i use 50 trail stop, 35 trail step. other weeks 70/55

Ok thanks. Actually I'm in EU and GU M30 but I'm in demo so I can leave and see what will happen...

i have these features already on my list, however, I think i will not do the last one. There is already many eas on mql5 codebase that will do that for us. If i add that feature, it may cause mt4 to start freezing again.
