Suggestion MonkeyPips - With Secondary Terminal

remember backtesting is just an estimate no matter how its done. some people go overboard with trying to simulate a real environment. the truth is you cant. you will only be letting yourself down with thumb suck figures particularly if you cannot gather precise information of your real environment. if i were testing on variable spread i would probably have never got to this point. You most likely pick a range of spread that doesnt happend half the time.
i only use backtesting to see if the strategy works technically without errors.

OK, I got it. I will test it in live account with both EURUSD and USDJPY.

hehe, gents... i just went trigger happy on vps
on my accounts i have 4 different vps as secondary terminals

Beeks VPS London ( Primary ) 3ms
Beeks London ( Secondary ) 3m
Buffalo New York ( Secondary ) 80ms
MQL5 Amsterdam ( Secondary ) 7ms
MQL5 Frankfurt ( Secondary ) 15ms

i have secondary terminals on the primary server with 3ms ping, now i am not sure if i am damping the latency or if i should just have primaries on the beeks vps... since there are 3 secondaries and ofcourse the primary terminal will still do what the secondaries do anyway. opinions?

this really simple strategy however i have complicated it in v1.19 so be difficult to replicate.

all it is ... measure the movement of points over last number of ticks depending how many ticks there are in a given period by default this is 5 seconds. i use an excess of 100 ticks and measure what ticks recieve in last 5 seconds. put these ticks in order and see how fast the market moved, as a measurement of points if it triggers the VelocityTrigger then stragy places several consecutive orders above the market. if the velocity changes, delete the orders..... but there is another secret in v1.19 which i wont tell obviously i need to protect my strategy.

Trevor, do you have the longest period best account performance to share with us the login, server name and investor password for us to see.

sorry i dont have, i only started my account now, some of friends been trading for over month now, you can see in previous post someone posting 1200% in last month
 
Will I have to set different magic numbers ? On pairs or on VPSs ? Thank you.
I will test free version 1.19 with Iron set on one MT4 for a start, to see have does it works, and then I'll add more MT4 .

need same magic numbers on secondary else it wont know which trades to manage.
i suggest dont change magic numbers at all you might make mistake, all this time we be using same magic
 
I will be a monkey With version 1.16
I will add only A Currency GBP/JPY
I'll be here gave their statistics
