I am taking a hard look at this EA and considering to take it live in a Journal here. I just need to see how it performs its cut loss functions and how it is able to read trend.

The problem is not the set, but the closeness to backtesting.

Since this EA is reading the history, it will definitely win in the backtest.
Forward test and back test are far apart.
The goal is to bring backtests and forward tests closer together.
The set is after that.

Are you saying the backtesting could be flawed?
 
I have just discovered that with my settings I am doomed to fail as the SL is too tight. you need to set with TP10, SL50, Trail 10

It's better to get out now. So I am getting flat and testing new parameters. I will be back soon. Thank You for reading.

Please restart mt4 frequently and backtest.
There are times when it is not closed in real trading, but it is closed in backtesting.
By closing it in the same way as the back test, the real trade and the back test will be the same.
The important thing is frequent reboots and backtesting.
 
This Robot uses "Support & Resistance" to read the market with. This seems like a very valid method. The only way to really tell how it trades is to forward test. I am fulfilling the wishes of the thread author with his requests for us to test with various settings. I had to cancel my first test even though it was profitable as this system need a wide stop loss. This tells me we shall see high drawdowns but I am using the M5 and the M15 this time.

I have started two Forward tests in Mitra Exness v1.5

Test M5 :
10TP, 50SL ,10 Trail. AutoLotMode is set to "Very Low Risk". The starting Demo balance is $1,998.34

Test M15 :
10TP, 50SL, 10 Trail. AutoLotMode is set to "Low Risk". $1,002.68

M15 got it's first exit in this Forward Test on my demo account. My goal is to get confidence enough to go live. The small differences (TF & risk type) in the two forward tests is showing early that they trade differently. Please note that the TP, SL & TrailExtra in the inputs are the same in both tests

I can create a script that restarts mt4 every minute, does this solve it?
 
Ok...now the M5 gets its first exit. I think you folks will notice that the M5 and the M15 move a lot slower compared to my first test (M1 with a tight SL) that I discontinued. I am told that Support and Resistance is used in the logic of this EA. so the longer TF's are more accurate.
