New EA Amenothes EA

The main project of this thread is the EA test and see its qualities and defaults

Small changes will take place and even can be big changes to a version 2 depending on the results
 
Good morning all

Quick update on the overnight positions;
Higher marty level on eurjpy and a few new positions.
No recovery on first open positions. Did have a few open/close positions during the night.

Here is snapshot of open positions.

NZD sinks into black hole, EUR and GBP are struggling

Flex EA and Mitra are also in a whirlwind

I will change the logic of entering the EA and reduce the number of pairs

As I mentioned in an earlier thread, my positions book would look totally different if the EA had the option 'close all at profit target'.
The first take profit in my batch of positions closed some and left others running, which is normal in your algo, but a choice for the user would help prevent potential DD.
The moment the intial 'partial close' took place, the overall balance/equity was in profit.
Perhaps it would not work or impossible in the code if the balance is negative, but if all is in profit, then close all and reset the algo to look for more trades.

If that was the case then my current trades would be empty, and I would have closed the ea/mt4 for the day. I believe it's already in the code as it decides to close some trades, not all.

Yes, I know, I am trying to 'semi automate' this EA, but I think a 'close all at profit target' could be a potential feature to think about. Or something like it.
 
I am pleased to announce that there are no errors in the experts tab or the journal tab. This EA is fully automatic and is functional even while the preset "close all" type of TP and News Filter interrupts the autotrading. The EA picks up where it is left off without any glitches.

The float is hugging the balance line on my equity graph Free Equity Graph Click Here however a max DD seen of $131.99 was visited shortly then the power of marty took over with a 0.05 progression and took out the $5.00 preset profit.

The mild martingale that I have "endured' thus far is 0.01, 0.01, 0.03, 0.05

At the time of this post the News Filter is active and the EA is on lock down (autotrading disabled).

You mentioned that the EA is turned off by the newsfilter and then back on again WITHOUT problems to the ongoing positions. Would that mean I can manually turn off trading, shutdown pc for the night, then turn it back on again in the morning and the EA would not 'bug out'? concerning current open positions the day/evening beforehand.

Alc,
Could you shine some light on the pip count or process of how your grid/marty levels are activated? I was thinking another activation on usdchf earlier, but no.

After your tests are complete will you be adding inputs for these parameters? I think it is important as for example the GBPJPY has a different range than the EURUSD. If your TP's Steps and pipsteps were dynamic and differed by range that would be different.
