New EA Amenothes EA

I assume you are posting to me. I will be embarrassed if you were posting to alcazard and not me...HeHe. You actually should post to alcazard as this is his baby. I simply climbed up on this beast and am trying to tame it for me. I think others here like my conservative approach that I must have for the 5%er's. Believe me if I am left to my own methods I would overtrade as I am like many traders here.

I am not a backtester so I do not know about your questions and comments concerning that.

If you want to install 28 setfiles I will be more than happy to help you...do you have Skype?...PM with your info.

P.S. I want to say that I like this EA as it always returns to getting flat like a rubber band and then it starts over. I hate to ride the market and to wake up each morning looking at the floating DD hoping and waiting.

Dear ES,

I directed my question to everyone who feels they are in love with this EA like you for sure. Also, I believe in this EA as I have seen and tested over 300 EAs, and I think I have the ability to find out about excellent EAs very quickly, exactly like the professional photographer who see the correct angle before he shot, he sees art, and we see nothing.

I do backtesting to visualize the way of how does these things work. Also, sometimes it helps to take final decision of correct settings.

I will be extremely happy to help me out on this, and I will be even more happy to have such new friend like you. I will PM you for sure.

You can backtest the EA pair by pair but we won't get the right results because the EA is working on a basket of pairs to close its trades.

You can use EA with martingale like me: https://www.myfxbook.com/members/Vulcain2019/amenothes-ea-h4/8182339 or without like ElectricSavant.

EA will work more (but with more risk) with a lower timeframe.

The version I am using is version 1.6, my settings are hard coded.

The other versions, input parameters have been added according to the testers' requests.

If you've read the entire thread, you've seen that there is a bug when resetting the EA. Pay close attention to this.

Dear Alc,

As I mentioned earlier that I went through entire thread and read every single posts by everyone, and aware about the bugs.

I completely understood the strategy of the EA, and I knew it's based on basket of pairs to close its trades. But, also the basket might contains 28 pairs, also it might contains 18 pairs, 10 pairs, 5 pairs, and even 1 pair only if it achieves what it should be. What I'm trying to say, we can figured out the pairs whom are fit to this strategy and combine them ONLY in one account. This step needs three month of FT for sure.

Also, I have realized the EA opens trades in one direction, and it will never open trades in opposite direction before it close the open cycle. I think, if you could make it opens in two deferent direction (If the entry rolls are achieved) I think it would make the DD even lower.

Regarding to the bug when restarting the platform , from my point of view, I believe that you have issue with the Magic Number because I realized that the EA does not respect my settings in the magic number's field, whatever value I add in this field but the EA doesn't follow, which mean there is leaking on here and need to be checked. Again, I knew this is basket EA, but also I knew - as same as you all - if the option is there and the EA does not obey on the trade's favor it's mean there is something wrong with this particular field and needs to be reviewed. Please go back and review the magic number's structure in your codes.

Summery, this is excellent EA and really could make money, please keep going on and don't forget to gift me my free copy :party:

Sorry, I forgot one more pic which confirms that the issue is within the magic number. In the following pic you can see all the pairs magic number's structure are same and contains of seven digits, but the magic number of the pair EURCHF is 42578, and this numbering structure is deferent than other pairs.

One more thing I forgot to mention to you, EURCHF and NZDCAD are sharing same magic number which is 42578. Some other pairs might have same issue.

I mean, EURCHF and NZDCAD only follow the same value as you entered in the magic number's filed, other pairs follow preprogrammed numbering structure.

I do not think there are going to be any updates in the near future. Make the best out of what we got. I know of a coder who I just discovered was a coder. He altered a MT4 file that I got from a retired coder/trader for me to track a symbols in the basket. He made it see 30 symbols instead of 21. I attached it below. He is a nice guy but I do not feel comfortable asking for his help. Funny, all of a sudden, I have needed his services many times but I do not want to impose as I do not ask my friends for free stuff. MQL5 has coders for hire...but you got to give them the MQ4 file.

I am a full-time forward-tester....how many EA's do you think that I get excited about? I could keep a team of good coders busy...no problem. Could you imagine how much I need a friend that is a good coder?....but I have nothing to exchange for...good coders are precious.

Someday when I buy a yacht....coders will be lining up to help me. I will be a successful coach/trader sought after!

Folks, I know that the conversation is one-sided in here as I am the only one that can post. This is not a chat room. Don't worry I never run out of content to blab about.

I cannot be distracted in my testing and I have met some real nice people from all over the world. Some of them are young and remind me of me. I have had to block a few and it is probably real upsetting for them as it was for me.

I must stay going straight forward and I am not the Forex 101 guy to go to. The folks that I had to block will lose.They have families and I will pray for them...but they will lose. I cannot help them. Believe me I know...they will not listen to me.

I am looking at two robots named MTF Trading Robot & Statistical Arbitrage Trader. I cannot find out much about them but I will see if they trade tomorrow...I have them set up! I also am looking at ProfitPipKiller but I need to remove some symbols after only one day of trading....If any of these three are worthy, I will add them to the Album.

Please traders go slow be careful. If anything read this channel and let me do the forward testing. This will free up your time for your own stuff. DO NOT TRADE ANYTHING IN THIS CHANNEL THAT I DO NOT TRADE LIVE MYSELF WHICH IS NOTHING JUST NOW.
