    Hello autotradingportfolio !!

I have viewed all 58 pages here and have not found details about "risk_multiplier" value on the input tab of your EA. Please explain in layman terms what "risk_multiplier" does. What happens on a $1,00 equity account when "risk_multiplier" value is set to .10 ?? What happens on a $1,000 equity account when "risk_multiplier" value is set 2.0 ?? Please assist. Thank you. Richard

    Risk_Multiplier 1.0 means 0.01 lot per 1000 balance, 2.0 means 0.02 lot per 1000 balance, 0.5 means 0.01 lot per 2000 balance, 0.1 means 0.01 lot per 10,000 balance

to the developers, what is the reason for some trades to close with no relation to SL and TP, some positive some negative. I have noticed that when it closes a trade suddenly, it immediately opens an opposite trade. Just interested in the reasoning behind it, like does the EA think the market is switching directions?
PS: I have noticed this in BT and live trading which I started this week.

    Hello autotradingportfolio !!

    I appreciate your prompt response.

[1] Am I to understand correctly that "risk_multiplier" value and "entry lots" value are independent of each other ??

Currently I'm trading an account with a starting equity balance of $500 along with "risk_multiplier" at .10 value and "entry lots" at .01 value. Trades are opening with .o1 lot size which is what I was looking for.

[2] Are these setting correct for a $500 account ??

    Please assist.

    Thank you.

    Richard

You should set risk multiplier to 2.0

You're talking about the official ATP release and no the Test EA right? That's because the EA has closing logics based on indicators, if the indicators give an exit signal then the EA will close the positions, the TP and SL are for security reason.

    Best regards.

I am running ATP live now since 1,5 Month. Mpst of the times the trades are closed by SL or TP and only about 15% are closed by this logic. Is it correct?

    Thanks, I missed it somehow.

    Hey, I have another suggestion!

when auto lot calculation is done, it could use not just the balance, but also credit.
I registered with XM AU, have a micro account and running ATP, but since they give extra credit to trade with, the EA doesn't use that in it's lot size calculation.

Oh, and is there a plan it implement an "off" switch, so that the EA wouldn't open any new trades?

    Cheers, and thanks

    Hello autotradingportfolio !!

Always, I appreciate your prompt response.

When my account equity balance reaches $1,000 and I change "entry lots" to .02 value... what should I have "risk_multiplier" set to ?? 4.0 ??

    Please assist.

    Thank you always.

Just a thought, why don't you multiply the "risk multiplier value" you are currently using with the value of extra credit given by your broker. An example would be: you are currently using risk multiplier=2 with 500usd account, if the broker gives you double credit (500usd+500 extra) you can use risk multiplier=4
    Just an idea.
