Hi Revo, have you got a newer adapted version ready for testing yet? I must have been using a crappy version because as soon as the market increased volatility last week I was in serious drawdowns and had to cease AFG. I am hoping your idea will lessen this risk.

I thought I was the only one facing freezing and so on for the EA. Is anyone facing the same issue in AFS Investing as well? Anyone has a stable copy?

 

afi has same troubles of freezing and constant errors. The freezing happens when 1 error is repeated in the journal or experts page, for 3 pages or more, and afg and afi have this same problem. The ea i posted a few pages back in this thread i have eliminated this problem. The errors are limited to 10 times. after showing same error 10 times, the ea resumes trading. Please inform me if you have any more troubles, and post a screen shot of the errors.

No, i dont have a newer version ready for posting yet, but i have been testing testing testing, testing, you get the idea i have settled on a gradual increase of the grid/pipstep, am doing final testing tomorrow. i will post once i am satisfied that it works as planned.

RE: Bluepanther: serious drawdowns are normal in markets that are in long week trends like several pairs were in last week. Its the recovery strategy that shines in this ea. The seed trade strategy stinks. I have tried to refine the rsi strategy, but i have now given up trying to refine it. It is just a shite strategy for a seed trade.

 

plans for next weekend is to have some sort of breakeven options, as well as a few different money management options, as that is what is severely lacking in all the good eas in this forum. Without good mm, even a great and profitable ea will blow up your account.

 

I believe that i have improved the code many times over, especially the OpenPendings/OpenOrders code. I have also removed the strength indicator from the chart, as the trading strategy does not use it. It is just window dressing. As of consequence, my ea does backtest much faster, plus in live trading, the platform does not lag during high volatility when the other eas, including shady's does lag during high volatility.

I have modified the settings that i believe are best on the big movers such as GU, EG. See in image added settings...
gridplus == ability to increase the pipstep on a 2nd, 3rd trade during recovery cycle.
MinimalFL == When FreeMargin is ?? percent of Account Balance or Account Equity, the lotsize is decreased to LotFM. Example if FreeMargin is less than 75% of Account Balance, the lotsize of new trades will be same as LotsFM
RevoFilter == TRUE i have added a filter, off by default, Enable it by changing to TRUE;
When RevoFilter is TRUE, the ea does not trade when wpr is between - 20 and - 80 AND some ATR rules. This needs to be forward testing.

Also, since your good at coding, can you guide me, how do I change the comment part in the AFS Global or Investing, so it doesn't write the EA name, and anything else I want it to display?

 

i have not seen the code for af investing. I only have 1 code named af investing, but it is only a copy of afg. If you find afi code, please post it. i very much want it.

find the 3 lines near the beginning of the code that start with "string gs_" and put at the start of those 3 lines "extern " so that they look like this "extern string gs_???="Global""

removal of the strength indicator is a bit more work. post the file that you want it done, and i will do it for you.

Yep. if you do as i said, the comments would appear in the ea settings, and you will be able to change them in mt4

fyi to group: my ea can go onto any time frame, and it will not break the strategy; But ilan and afg you need to put it on H1 charts. If you put them on other time frames, you WILL break the Scalper.LTD strategy and you will NOT get the same trades as you would if you had it on H1.

My ea can go onto any chart AND any timeframe. I recommend M30, but it will also work on M5, NO PROBLEMS.

ignore that last link from lipton. He says it is a live account. but in the image you see the green of the trades that you get only in a backtest. Lipton is a liar and scammer. When is soehoe going to regulate these ass holes?
