New EA TRIANGULAR PRICE CORRECTION

this ea cannot be backtested but the EA performs better because of the money management ie the money management will cause the profits to be gained

 

Its MC now on my 2K @ 0.10 Lot, Pepperstone demo account. I 'm using 15M TF.

 

Today's market just killed by both pepperstone M5 tf-s (one was with commission and other with just spread) both were above 2000 usd starting from 1000 usd week ago. Only M15 keeps going and now it also has not enough margin to put orders..

 

This is a very high risk EA. Better not to use it on Live Account.

 

that is true unless you get money management in it which i think is on its way

 

I modified the code:
- No annoying confirmations
- Independent from other EAs on the same account
- Input of the symbols, so any suffix can be used
- Demo and live possible
- Update of the screen every tick

I upload the MQ4 for further development.

 

what is LotDigits ? in the settings

 

I replaced "Mini-Account" with this.
Its how many digits a lotsize can have:

"2" for 0.01 minimal
"1" for 0.1 minimal

 

This error occurs when the symbols used (EURUSD, EURAUD, AUDUSD) are not all listed in the Market Watch. Open it (CTRL-M) and right-click in the list. Select "Symbols" or "Show all". Restart the terminal if it did not work.

 

I am also uploading mql4 code, for further developing.

This version also works on demo and real account.
It has a new parameter of gain percent. Which means after the certain percent of gain reached EA, will stop opening new orders.
And after certain percent of loss, EA will close all orders. But it needs to be mannualy re-attached to the chart after that for opening new trades.

I just saw now that mkowa has also made updates to the code, it could be great if both can be combined and we can continue only from one version further on.

Ok, here is a "new" update.

The annoying message from the start is removed,
No need for waiting for a tick.
Trailing stop parameter is added. Each trade can be trailed with prefered start, step and stop trail.
New version is in the attachments. I guess next week will be a testing period and then, we can take it from there.

 

Good ea with risk management plan, using trailing stop also as one way to manage profit and risk
adjusted value trailing stop on high volatile market with 25 I think already good setup

First of all thank you for your effort and kind will to share your works.

Did anybody else test the EA last Thursday-Friday ? If yes, how did your accounts survive bull market ? Mine didn't. Even m15 had lack of equity and was destroyed at all.

You are right, I was also testing this EA (old version) previous week and it blew, couple of my demo accounts. Mostly I was going with the default settings, trading only on 1M timeframe. Although the EA crashed at the end in at least 3 cases, I have never seen EA gained so many profits so quickly as well. So it does have a potential for solid profits. What we are trying to do now, is to figure out some safety nets and apply some money management rules that would fit this EA the best possible way. So it can really survive long term.
I was testing on friday the latest version with trailing stop and it did quite well, it didn't crash at least. What we should do is try to forward test it as much as possible to find it's weak spots and correct them if possible. I already setup a VPS for the next month, so I can do some live testing.

Another option in future versions, could also be taking trades only in the direction of daily trend.
For example if price is below daily open...EA could take only sell trades and vice versa for buy.

Anyways, keep us updated.
