New EA MillionTrader EA - from the developer of Milliontrader

Hi friends,

Anyone has the MillionTrader EA?- said to be the last EA a trader would ever need!!

This Expert advisor has been released after many traders have used the Milliontrader and Milliontrader Pro Elite software for MT4....with great results. The Milliontrader software itself generated accurate entry and exit signals based on an optimisation feature and are not repainting. The Expert adviser is therefore a very interesting and useful tool for algorithimic trading.






Anyone can share their experience, insight, files and set files -- this seems to be one of the best EA to date . There was some member here who has suggested Mr Tanaka to do an EA based on the Milliontrader in the past. So its timely to review what we have so far for the MillionTrader Expert Advisor. Looking forward to hearing from you.

On the Gold chart M5 tonight, the Milliontrader indicator on a manual charting basis, caught the big drop and subsequent rebound in a timely manner just 5 minutes before they happened, with the settings optimised for Gold. But then this is for the manual charting using Milliontrader and not the new Milliontrader EA.

What do you think are the reasons the EA is behaving so differently from the manual indicator ( other than bad programming ) or is it possible for others who are interested in the EA to do more optimisation and testing so that we can develop suitable sets for trading our favourite forex pairs eg EURUSD, GBPUSD, XAGUSD, XAGUSD, BTCUSD, ETHUSD. I think many of us are ready to help research and contribute to finally determine once and for all whether this EA is junk or useful if we can access a copy of the ea. Anyone can share, please?

Hi Pannik,

From my understanding, the Milliontrader EA was designed based on the manual Milliontrader software for MT4. The software identifies specific action turning points or tops and bottoms of price of a market pair. The expert adviser then places trades for you following the trend identified-- it is trend following and not counter trend. I do not have real experience on the Expert advisor - only stating what I know from what I read and heard of. Here is a link that shows the developer's live account running this program:

You can get to see more details on the trade statistics and get a feel of the risk of using this EA eg details of trade, risk of ruin, sharpe ratio etc.

These two files are the older indicators and are useful for manual trading but are not the Milliontrader Expert Advisor. These are different from the Milliontrader EA that we are discussing in this thread. The Milliontrader EA is an expert advisor ( robot trading) and is the newer release. Thanks for helping though, appreciate your effort.

Here is a chart of GOLD -XAUUSD in M5 showing the use of the manual Milliontrader indicator (not the EA that we are talking about). You can see that in yesterday's trading, the milliontrader indicator after customised optimisation was flashing the correct trading action 5 minutes before the high volatility events of the trading day as marked. Following this performance, there are expectations that the EA will be able to assist greatly in algorithimic trading on autopilot, hence my interest in knowing more and trying out the EA. Anyone else interested to work on Milliontrader Expert Advisor to get the best settings?

Thank you so much for your sharing. Will be testing the EA for a while. Meanwhile as for manual trading, there is a "novel" way to use the indicator in scalping. Here I used the indicator in the basement chart to indicate the short term swings for which we can scalp. This is on Gold. I think it helps in capturing some profits in scalping. Here's a screen capture to show what I mean by using the indicator in the basement chart. So let's try to test the indicator to see whether we can get some good settings for the EA. Once again, thanks for your sharing.

Some initial observations- I can see why it is considered thrash! - the signal on default settings back paint some 15 bars ago making it one of the most delayed signals ever. So it has to be set on the major swings ie high time frames for it to eke out profits. The signals look very good on paper due to the back painting but unless something is done in the settings to optimise it well, the default settings will not lead to very good results- in fact losing money. Hence we need optimisation and good set files for specific pairs.
