But there's only a handful of high impact news coming.

But the good this it's a mql4 source code.

Same as every other News EA, nothing special: manual start required.
I'm still looking for automated News EA that will fetch Economic Calendar automatically, set orders automatically, and make profits AUTOMATICALLY.

Not sure why it seems so hard to create, since many EA automatically fetch News to filter for "stop trade". Why can't anyone seem to filter for "start trade"?

The problem is FFcal indi has only 2 buffers, one for the minutes to impact and the other one is the news impact.

But there's a source code for the indi which i think can be modified to suit your requirement.

I asked few modifications into current EA4NEWS. It gets spead filter (to avoid big spreads) and stealth mode for TSL and TP/SL.
Should be even better and powerful. Should be ready soon,

dunno think it will help you a lot, because I used so many tools and actually, play with small deposite.
I can try to sort things by magic, but quite often I'm in search for tools for trading in the future... by now,
I'm very limited in time... and EA4NEWS is one of the my favorite one... especially upcoming update
