New EA EA Breakout.. Looking for best setting..

Hi Netprofit,

What is your current set file on EURUSD and GBPUSD ? And which timeframe are you using this ea on EURUSD and GBPUSD ?

TF is 5 min, I made backtest with EURUSD with very good results, with GBPUSD was about 60% of it.
I use currently same settings for both pairs.

But i still don't know, why it does the afternoon trade with that time settings?
Or is 3 am till 8 pm ?

Breakout and CutSwitch strategy are indeed very powerful in trending market but may wipe out your balance in ranging market condition, so if you trade in real account using this EA I think you'll need to idetify the trend and sideways area in daily basis and take control of the EA. Plus, according to my experience using the similiar EA, you'll need to inject your equity when market is extremely flat with candles keep bouncing up and down and drawdown become too high, if you're ready with extra injection then in the end your trades will always be closed in profit :)
 
Ok, today was a little bit "tricky"...
Lost 3 trades before in GBPUSD till the 4th finally won.

GBPUSD was bouncing up and down in the range and everytime opened the new doubled position, in the end with 32 lots at 12k balance....:whew:
Exactly the scenario, which "Glory" has described before...:(

But i already noticed EURUSD has much better results in BT than GBPUSD, it is about the double.
So be careful with that GU and these setting.

I already have much better result wit GU with 30min instead of 5 min for EU, which still is the best for me.
But also i don't understand, taht EU wasn't trading all the day, as it has exactly the same settings like GU.
There is a info: "no trade".
Has anybody an idea for that ?

I don't understand the settings completely, what they mean.
But i dont think, that there is something, which prevent from trading on mondays ?

It would be really a great help, if somebody could unlock the ex4 file. :)

90% in realistic demo account last week....

Have you checked the boxsize? No trade if the box is less than MinBoxSize or greater than MaxBoxSize. I didnt see the setting in which we can decide whether or not to place a trade on certain days, so may be the creator has probably figure out that market on Mondays tend to go flat and therefore prevents this EA to place a trade on that days...
 
Again today i have "no trade" in GBPUSD.. :(

I don't now what is wrong...

I have put on another chart with other boxes also, but also "no trade"

Can you check, what all that means in settings ?

It is really worth for it!
Because i had already another 2 wins today with 12% and another one is still running.

So please help to adjust it

Try to fill in "MM factor" with 0 (zero), and adjust "SessionEndTime" to 15:00

Now i got it: I made "Lagi_DST" to true, and now is "session active".

Do you know, what that means?
And i have on EU the same as false and there is trading... :think:

" M-factor" is for the lot size, i need it.
An the "Session-EndTime" to 15:00 closed the session.

Time settings are complete strange.
It should trade from 03.00 to 08:00 but it trade from early morning till late afternoon (germany)

Please check, "StartTime" and "EndTime" in this case is the time period in which the box is formed, when the box completed then sellstop placed on its lower line (plus entry factor) and buystop on the upper line, which will be deleted (expired if not triggered) on "SessionEndTime".

"LagiDST" means DST is currently running.
All time settings are based on server time.

Correct me if Im wrong.

yeah just download it and confirmed.. so the key here is the start time and end time..
 
I think this EA would be much better if there is a "SessionStartTime" option to adjust what time we start placing orders, I would prefer placing orders at 09:00 (before London Open) based on a box created between 20:00 - 23:59 the previous day. Plus, I prefer the TP factor to be based on pip value instead of multiplying the box size. Can anyone here recode this EA?
 
There are already time settings.

But they are strange. They absolutely don't fit to the opening times of trades.
With the given "StartTime = 03.00" it starts about 2 hours before London opening.

I played a little bit around in BT with the time settings and all changes made the result only more worse.
So my st file seems now to be the best for EURUSD TF 5m.

For GBPUSD i got bets results with TF 30m , but wnat to control on demo first.
Here are my results since last wednesday, exactly 100%..:)

from my observation po is set at fibo 1.8 and -0.8.. and tp are set with risk to reward ration 1:1... ive been trading lbo strategies lately and i notice the best start time for pair EU is 6 hours from london open and end time is 3 hours from london open..

e.g. for my broker time london open at 07:00 so my box is between 02:00 - 04:00

try it out and hit me back with your results
