New EA Amenothes EA

Chocolate lovers,

I must say Amenothes handles marty well with my settings on the M30 for the last 11 calendar days...I have seen no more than $38.49 DD. But I have 28 setfiles (ATR Balanced, Range Equalized) which is a lot of work. I have not seen more than 0.01 lotsize with a 1.45 lot multiplier which means the entry is good.

Hi, Alc.
I have been doing a forward test since this Monday. My account is yen denominated account.
The setting is the default, but MM is turned off. The initial lot is 0.01.

OZREN LJEVAR please be VERY careful with your live/test account. We do need a fix or else (after reload/restart of mt4) the account will explode as the EA will spam buys and sells. I tend to close and restart my EA's and mt4 platform so this is not a small issue. Alc, is also working on other EA's based on the same code, hence the issue needs to be fixed so that we can play with other EA's.

I am a big fan of alc's work...looking forward to his discoveries...he will get this fixed I am sure. I hope I did not put a bug in the works with all my requests. We need to take one step at a time. It's just that I understand coding and all of the upgrades need to be at the root of the table.

Hello everybody,

Jean-Leon is a top coder. I have witnessed her work and I would ask her for my own coding needs. I must say alcazard has surrounded himself with competent people with this EA and his other EA's. She was the fastest coder I have seen. I am not quite sure what enhancements we are going to get but it probably requires some testing after the code is written.

Horus has taken losses in the last few days but with a very low DD. I know some traders like this kind of work. To see over time if the losses will be lower than the gains.

Ozren and alc...pardon the interruption.

1.45 does not give me a progression either because the entry is so good and the target is only 5 bucks. It eventually finds the power to take it out. The magic is that it trades all 28 pair and does not depend on one trend only.

If traders want to use my ATR table it even gets better but it is a lot of work to set it up and change it every 45 days.

That's very good news

Your DD must be very low, right?

If the entries are confirmed to be good, we can think of decreasing the deposit or increasing the lot size for more profit while keeping account security.
 
My DD = -$104.21
My Banked Profit = +$81.93
My current float= Flat
# of Calendar Days traded= 17

Alc...as far as increasing lotsize...well would that cause the 1.45 multiplier to kick in and change some dynamics? Naturally larger balances can increase lotsize...but it will also change the way this trades if I am not mistaken. A gradated approach as I have mentioned earlier can tame thousands of PIPS while allowing profit taking in the lower end of the progression. Forex math & lot sequencing can cause the progression to be a positive thing. I have reached a level of being able to tolerate limited martingale maybe with 3 progressions...I am not a lover of martingale. I can learn though!

I think we need to do some exhaustive forward testing with several platforms coordinated across several readers in this thread. I can dedicate as many platforms as I can and I am currently preparing for that day and leaving some spots open.

alc... this is your baby and I remain at your service as a tester. I would not waste my time if I did not think that amenothes was worthy. Please continue with your coder. Perhaps we could take up a collection for her here in this thread.

Yes, it will increase your lot faster

Instead of being at 0.01, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03 ... You will be at 0.02, 0.03, 0.04, 0.06 ...

DD will be increased but should remain reasonable. At the same time, you can go from $ 5 profit taking to $ 8/10

  • I prefer manual sequencing over a multiplier. I would like to add in my lotsizes...0.01, 0.01, 0.01, 0.01, 0.01, 0.02, 0.02, 0.02, 0.03, 0.03....etc
  • I prefer a manual pip step graduation not a multiplier. pipstep 1 = 30, pipstep 2 = 40, pipstep 3 = 50, pipstep 4=65....etc
By coding this above gives total control to the trader without this senseless out-of-control multiplication that we have in most martingale systems.

alc... do you want just an EA?...or do you want something like a tool for the trader to use in his martingale idea?

What I am suggesting to you is in the caliber of the Flex EA.

You could have a truly legendary EA here and you have one of the best coders in the business interested .

P.S. with total control I can simply add up the 20 year range of any symbol and construct a tiered system to bank profit on the low end and to survive the complete range. Forex Math does not have to be linear. Advanced coding can link the movement of the quotes to the sequencing but that will come much later. There is a way to make Forex Trading bulletproof and I can do it with help from you and the readers of this thread. Some of those Bloomberg Terminals used to have some institutional automation for futures that would blow your mind. If you do not believe me, load up the ES and watch how it trades...HFT's have totally taken it over....why do you think I am here in Forex?

Hey folks, I am a little confused with this news concerning the 'low dd' and 'no marty progression' when using multi of 1.45

When i was testing with Alc, we were pretty much always having a level or two of marty.

Why are we now saying that 'entry is so good'? by only changing the multi to 1.45 is not modifying the entry of the position, or am I missing something?

Perhaps these past two weeks were 'easier' on the EA than the weeks we were testing, because there was always some kind of marty during those weeks.

This is a forward test report. Starts April 5th. Suddenly 0.63 lots or 0.64 lots were entered on Monday. Is this a bug? Is it a bug caused by making a fixed lot?
