New EA Amenothes EA

EA Amenothes is now taking profit - see MyFxBook links

Other EA takes profit as well. I'll be running another thread this weekend or Monday.

Ea will have the name Horus (I love Egyptian gods :D)
 
Horus uses an entry on other indicators in addition and closes on the indicators as well if he does not meet his target.

If you have a VPS, there is no point in using a news filter to close the weekend.

If you don't have a VPS it's no use either, your MT4 will be turned off. Maybe the martingale bug will be solved with, to try

I have a VPS. I do not use the News Filter to close the weekend...never have. Its just that the price before and after News many times rises up or down quickly just to return. This causes extra trades without need. The News Filter disables the autotrading it does not close the platform. Are you saying that we cannot ever close the platform without consequence, unless it is flat? I routinely close my platforms even on the VPS to keep them running clean and to save my changes.

I am now using v1.72 w/1.1 multiplier on M30. I have ATR balanced the PipStep and the PipStep multiplier on all 28 pair. I use a 50% catastophic SL and no trades on Friday.

I am learning to live with Martingale and this is the safest way for me to adjust.

Close all will be integrated directly into EA

For the rest, there will be the same as Amenothes EA

By default the settings will be those I use for the test

Horus will be used on 10 pairs
 
I have now manually closed all, when I saw -50, which is a lot better than -150 earlier. Other positions were closed earlier in profit, so its about breakeven/small loss.
Yes I could have left the pairs running, but I will take the hit and then start fresh with the new version and the new Horus next week.
 
ElectricSavant Concerning your newsfilter, I still think it could be dangerous due to the 'autotrading' being disabled. Remember I had a massive bug/spike in positions when turning off autotrading. At the moment, I think its more like 'leave the EA running' or 'wait for flat' or 'take the hit'; before considering the disable autotrade button.
 
I don't get it...why can't we close the platform and restart it?...like other EA's. I cannot trade with this EA live if I can't close the platform and restart...

I just shut down my MT4 platform with an open trade. I turned it back on and that trade was still there and no other trades were added. Does it sometimes add trades under different conditions?

I asked Jean-Leon, a very good coder and member of the forum to see where it can come from because I can't find
 
For reference Alc, go back a few pages on this thread.
I remember having turned off my pc (everything closed of course, mt4, windows, etc) for the night.
The next morning, I booted up windows, mt4 etc, the trades were still there and I clicked autotrade. Everything seemed fine for a little while, and then boom! it started opening positions and marty levels without any major increase in pips etc. I had to quickly hit the autotrade button and then start closing trades.
The EA somehow was stuck in a open trade/marty loop.

If there were no trades, and a fresh start to the day; I dont think it would of happened. This would not be an issue for you running VPS and no newsfilter/program that switches autotrade on/off.

But for ES, this could, and I say could, be a major issue. Or some kind of magical one off glitch.
 
Ok, I shut down and relaunch MT4

EA open positions they shouldn't and increase martingale

For those who requested a real account version, be very careful not to turn off your MT4

EA cannot be used with this bug

Horus being based on the same code, it will be launched when the bug is fixed
