Unfortunately you were right. I can't recommend it after forward test, at least not for ECN accounts.

The grid trading doesn't use stop loss, which can result in huge floating. You are left with several open buy and sell positions without a stop loss. In a trending market, this will kill your account. A good EA should compensate for that.

The scalper - which is the important part in backtest - doesn't even yield a fraction of the profits it made in backtest. The result is, that you are getting stuck with open trades from grid trading, which the scalper cannot compensate for.

So at least for me this EA is too dangerous to use for long-term trading.

You can deactivate the Grid- or Scalper-Trading if you like... Per default, both are activated.

    You have 3 Options:
    - Grid and Scalper
    - Scalper only
    - Grid only

We made new backtests with the 1.25 version... Added a GridStopLoss of 100 because of high risk, when this value is set to 0 (as RRRalph described earlier in this thread), and a few other settings customizations (higher GridSpacing, etc.) and bugfixes... We will upload the new version including settings file for testing today evening or tomorrow.

First backtest is from 01.01.2018 until 13.05.2018 with the new settings

Second backtest is from 20.04.2018 until 13.o5.2o18 with the new settings (--> EUR/USD crash)

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.. ;) If you have any suggestions, feel free to tell...

We uploaded the new version (1.25) at the beginning of the thread...

    Fixes / Changes:
    - Close Friday / Open Monday now respected (no new trades, but is trailing and monitoring open trades)
    - Some profit checking fixes
    - GridStopLoss=100 in settings file (because of high risk of extremely high floating positions)

What's the use of backtests when the EA doesn't perform in forward test at all like in the backtest?

RRRalph We cannot watch into the future, just to the past. The entry point is the most valuable thing.

mrknospe Did you try it? Or would you like to make some noise only?!

I'm talking about backward and forward test of the same amount of time in retrospective.
The backwards test shows lots of gain whereas the forward test doesn't or even loss!
    So backward test is misleading.

We did create version 2.001 of our EA this Weekend (--> Download see first post). It should be better to configure now.
The EA should work on all major pairs with timeframe H1 to H4 and the default settings.

We are testing it on a demo account on myfxbook.com, not yet on a real account, because it is still under development...
    Feature requests are welcome...

    Feel free to test...

Important: Because of a bug, the EA is working on cent accounts only, we are working on it.. ;)

BT of the last 3 months are looking promising... But - unfortunately - no results on FT yet.. We are working on it...
