If my analysis is correct about how this EA trades ...well:

It is up $53.94 overnight while enduring a current float of $131.26. It will not be long until it reaches BE. There are a lot of trades for you active traders as it wiggles through its range of orders. Don't worry about stragglers as they form the border...so what! if the border grows wider who cares? just so the 'wiggle balance" exceeds the equity balance more and more.

I need to discover what this EA does when the balance exceeds the equity...do we use the "ClOSE ALL" Button or do we let it all ride and let the balance and the borders continue to grow? What happens if we use the "START ALL" button without using the "CLOSE ALL" button first?

P.S. This is one grid I would go live with...but I need to see what it does after BE. There is a language barrier in this thread as I do not speak Indonesian or Russian...but this is a great forum and a great contribution "Olvit" has made.

I reached BE in under 2 days. I have a nice grid of orders around me so I am just going to hang out here in the middle and let the EA trade me up and down the grid. Is this the Holy Grail?

    "Olvit"...Thank You.

    Profit +$133.64 Float = $124.22

I only post here because a few readers thought it was informative. This is not my thread and I do not want to distract from the thread authors purpose. I am learning the system and will have more to bring to the table as soon as I can figure stuff out.

I want to share some data from monthly charts for several instruments that could be candidates to trade with this EA according their range (Highest to Lowest) back to 1999*:

    EURUSD 78,119 Average Spread: 0.5
    GBPUSD 96,467 Average Spread: 0.5
    USDCHF 94,701
    USDJPY 59,549
    CHFJPY 95,049
    EURCHF 82,805
    EURGBP 41,272 Average Spread: 0.6
    EURJPY 75,989
    GBPCHF 162,094
    GBPJPY 134,351
    AUDCAD 36,238
    AUDNZD 37,979

    AUDUSD 55,919 Average Spread: 0.7
    NZDCAD 37,891
    NZDUSD 39,494

    USDCAD 71,520
    AUDCHF 54,864
    AUDJPY 52,697
    CADJPY 57,220
    CADCHF 62,674
    EURAUD 95,404
    EURCAD 53,831
    EURNZD 119,278
    GBPCAD 106673
    GBPNZD 206,118
    NZDCHF 45,021
    NZDJPY 55,874

*Perhaps spread should be considered when choosing a pair as there are a high volume of trades. The EURUSD may be better than the GBPUSD but I like the way the GBPUSD moves compared to the EURUSD. EURGBP could be a good candidate. Also if you start a symbol look at where it's position is...if it is in the middle between the highest and the lowest this could be a good thing (EURUSD fits this).

This table can help you adjust the PIPSTEP in the inputs if needed.

I am thinking of the EURUSD with a PIPSTEP of 14 instead of the default of 8. This will give less open trades and allow for more movement. The spread is good and I am entering in the middle of the range.

    What do you think? anybody?

I am thinking that the GBPUSD w/pipstep 8 is much more profitable (GLX-3-2020). I just like the way the GBPUSD moves.

To limit the number of open trades the trader can simply use the "close all" button to realize the float and update the balance (Bal+Float) and then "start all". The lotsize can be adjusted during these "events".

My personal preference is when fluctuating between 24-28 open trades per 6K (0.01 lotsize), I am hoping to be in the positive and am looking for the "close all, adjust lotsize, start all' event .

Folks! please be patient with me as I am not the sharpest nail in the shed.

    Es

P.S. The pipstep 14 in the EURUSD was fine but it moved much slower. Why can't I just make more money with restarts using the GBPUSD w/8?

P.P.S. If you are busy and going away on vacation and you wish to leave your EA running on a VPS then use the EURUSD 14 PIPSTEP.

Happiness is when you are hangin' out in the middle of your densely populated grid chopping up and down banking profit while the float remains the same. That's the "sweet spot" baby...

I am in the process of laying down my grid in the GBPUSD just now...it is spreading out nicely. Give me those borders (the less wide the better) and trade in between them is all I ask. I will exit when I want to rebuild...looking for that thin layout yielding a lot of chop in the middle!

Hello, bro. This EA seems to be unprofitable and not risky. Is there a good way? thank you

My preliminary thoughts may not be correct. But here they are. Limit your grids growth with frequent restarts. Try to enter at a time during the Tokyo session and exit after NY close if you can.

This is just preliminary and could be totally wrong.

Could somebody help me to understand the TMA Bands? I installed them on the chart even though they are not needed. They were in the opening post and I put them in my indicators folder...but I do not think the EA uses them.

    ywg,

Here was a moment where the grid was profitable. I am quoting myself...(you can scroll up)

It comes down to when you should exit..... (and enter)...but isn't that the way it is with all trading? LOL. I think the unique attribute to this EA is that we can enter and let the grid tell us when to exit. If you enter in the middle of a trend this will cause you to need to wait longer to get that positive differential.

I think if the robot made many transactions then you need bigger capital to start
