Announcing FXTMPartners’ new Training Centre in Port Harcourt




On Friday, the 10th of August, FXTMPartners opened the doors to its brand-new training centre in Port Harcourt. The grand opening marked another step in FXTM’s mission to provide traders around the world with first-class education.

This special event opened with an engaging welcome talk and presentation from FXTM’s General Manager in Nigeria, Abiola Akinyele. Mr Akinyele outlined the numerous ways the training centre would benefit the trading community, including:

• Providing a stimulating place for traders and affiliates to learn
• Bringing traders in Port Harcourt and neighbouring Southern regions of Nigeria together
• Encouraging traders from across Nigeria to network and compare strategies
• Serving as a venue for more of FXTMPartners’ excellent educational events

Next up was Lukman Otunuga. FXTM’s Research Analyst treated guests to an in-depth look at the markets in his Market Outlook Presentation. Clients and IBs from across the country were fascinated by the exclusive insights offered by Mr Otunuga, and enjoyed the detailed picture of the markets presented.

The successful evening came to a close with a dynamic networking session and some light refreshments.

Conrad Okongwu hosts E-Trading and Investment Summit in Ghana





In Ghana’s capital, over two hundred traders gathered at the Tomreik Hotel for the first day of the popular E-Trading and Investment Summit educational series. With FXTM’s Head of Education (Nigeria) Conrad Okongwu as host, the series kicked-off with an all-day seminar on the 4th of August 2018.

During the seminar, Mr Okongwu gave introductions to forex and investment programs, with frequent breaks for question and answer sessions. Attendees had the opportunity to ensure they had a firm grasp on the basics of trading and sharpen up their techniques. The seminar finished with a lucky draw in which four fortunate traders received fantastic free tech prizes.

The three-day workshop followed, where participants could learn more about complex forex topics. During the workshop, E-trading & Investment Summit attendees were taught how to:

• Understand trading terminologies
• Place trades effectively
• Read Japanese Candlesticks
• Implement strategies for risk management
• Appreciate trading psychology
• Get the most out of FXTM Invest

Fully equipped with the FX knowledge they needed to tackle the markets, participants tried out their skills in practical sessions at the end of the summit.

Global risk appetite increases on US and Mexico deal






It has been an incredibly bullish day for the US markets after the US and Mexico agreed in principal on a trade deal to replace NAFTA. While Mexico has agreed in principal around this deal the main issue for many has been the exclusion of Canada thus far, with a separate agreement looking to be reached in the long run for Canada and the US and Mexico. This move however will need approval by congress and the senate but markets believe it will happen and as a result and we've seen some very bullish moves at the start of the week globally.



Looking at the S&P 500 it is clear that investors thus far believe that any trade deal that has been agreed will favour the US economy heavily, as Trump has been a staunch opponent of the current NAFTA deal and the effect it had on blue collar workers. While protectionism of certain industries is not ideal in any situation the equity markets believe that in this case it may be warranted and have pushed the market to a record high of 2900. With this being a key level of resistance for the market we're waiting to see if the market has further legs and can lift to 2925 at present. In the event that it does not have the movement that was envisioned then a potential fall back to support at 2877 could likely be on the cards. With further falls in the long run to 2847 and 2818. However, the US equity markets continue to be upbeat so I am looking at this as very bullish in the long run.

One of the other moves at the start of the week and one to watch has been the New Zealand dollar which has crept up the charts thus far. Markets I feel have not been expecting this one, but some recent weakness in the USD has given it a bit of a reprieve and we've seen some small gains. In the long run though, the New Zealand economy is still suffering and it may be a very long time until we see any sort of rate rises in the current market environment.



Looking at the NZDUSD on the charts it has been quite the aggressive mover as of late and the bears have taken a big chunk out of it. Resistance at 0.6712 has so far held back any bullish movements as I feel markets are cautious over any rises. However, there is further potential to rise to 0.6755 and 0.6833 in the long run if bullish sentiment continues. If the bears take back control then support levels can be found at 0.6600 and 0.6560 at present.

FXTMPartners hosted an informative seminar in the Loei Province of Thailand, on Monday, August 13th, and received a fantastic turnout. Featuring a key presentation on Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies, the ‘FXTMPartners Products & Services’ seminar was held at the beautiful Loei Palace Hotel and lasted the entire day.

FXTM presents seminar in Cairo with marvelous results





FXTM hosted an informative seminar in the bustling capital of Egypt on Friday, August 10th, and the outcome was fantastic. Featuring a key presentation by Chief Market Strategist of the Gulf and MENA Region, Hussein Sayed, the ‘FXTM Market Outlook 2018 & Technical Analysis Strategies’ seminar packed the venue at the Hilton Cairo Heliopolis with a big crowd of nearly 100 forex enthusiasts.

FXTM hosts fantastic seminar in Lagos – workshop still to come!





FXTM’s Head of Education in Nigeria, Conrad Okongwu, recently hosted exceptional seminars and looks forward to hosting a four-day workshop in Lagos starting on August 28th, as part of the popular E-Trading & Investment Summit series.

The E-Trading & Investment Summit is a chance for traders to get to grips with the basics of trading. By the end of the sessions, Mr Okongwu had introduced traders to all the forex terminology and investment program know-how they would need to enter the markets. At the end of the two day-long seminars, traders had the chance to network with other investors in their area and discuss their trading strategies.

During the two seminars on the 17th and 18th of August, traders in Lagos were treated to presentations from two of FXTM’s leading FX experts alongside Mr Okongwu. FXTM’s Research Analyst Lukman Otunuga, and Chief Market Strategist for the Gulf & MENA Region, Hussein Sayed, shared their astute insights with the eager participants. The turnout was incredible, with a total of over 200 attendees.

The seminars were excellent opportunities for traders in Lagos to improve their understanding of the markets, and ask their questions to industry specialists.

FXTM Brand Ambassador Lewis Pugh Completes The Long Swim





On the 29th of August, on Dover’s Shakespeare Beach, UN Patron of the Oceans and FXTM Brand Ambassador Lewis Pugh completed The Long Swim, a world-first achievement.

At the beginning of July, Lewis dived into the cold English Channel at Land’s End and began his incredible journey towards Dover. He pledged to swim the entire length of the English Channel – a huge 530km – while adhering to Channel Swimming Association rules of wearing just a pair of goggles, Speedo briefs and a cap for protection. His cause: to raise awareness of the desperate state of the oceans due to plastic pollution, overfishing and climate change.

Highlights of the Long Swim:

• Nothing could break Lewis’ resolve – despite multiple jellyfish stings, a shoulder injury, and terrible weather conditions, he remained determined and refused to give up
• The UK’s Environment Secretary Michael Gove greeted Lewis at the FXTM-finish line, as he brought his urgent message to Dover
• The swim was covered by the UK’s biggest outlets, including BBC and Sky News
• This is the first challenge in a series for the Action for Oceans’ campaign; an initiative to turn 30% of the world’s oceans into Marine Protected Areas

Throughout the Long Swim, FXTM have been proud Lead Partners and cheered Lewis on at every hurdle and success. As a company centred on core values of appreciation, respect, responsibility and education, FXTM are delighted to partner with Lewis in pursuing an extremely important cause.

FXTMPartners brings Ultimate Trading Formula back to Pakistan






Three cities in Pakistan played host to the popular Ultimate Trading Formula series at the beginning of September, sponsored by FXTMPartners. All the events were a huge success and drew FX traders from across Karachi, Lahore and Sialkot who were eager to meet FXTM’s Head of Education, Andreas Thalassinos, and learn from his years of market practice and technical analysis prowess. His characteristically energetic presentation style kept all audiences spellbound and made each event an enjoyable, interactive experience.

First up was a seminar in Karachi on the 2nd of September at the Ramada Plaza. Traders were keen to potentially boost their trading potential by learning more about forex fundamentals and discovering a new strategy for the markets – the Ultimate Trading Formula!

An in-depth, three-day workshop followed from the 5th to the 7th of September in Lahore at the FXTMPartners Training Centre. Participants enjoyed three action-packed evenings of valuable trading insights into employing technical analysis techniques. Day 1 focused on learning how to identify and use tops and bottoms on a price chart. Day 2 taught attendees how to recognise various reversal patterns. Last, but certainly not least, came a session about entry confirmation signals on Day 3.

The tour ended with another fantastic seminar in Sialkot at the Hotel Javson on the 9th of September.

E-Trading and Investment Summit Brims with Success in Nigeria





Education has always been a major cornerstone for FXTM – the latest E-Trading and Investment Summit in Port Harcourt and Lagos is just the most recent example of our continued success in this respect.

From the 7th to the 8th of September, a two-day seminar kicked off the Summit in Port Harcourt, followed by a three-day workshop from the 11th to the 13th of September. In terms of attendance, these seminars and workshops continue to grow as, once again, turnout exceeded all expectations. Presented by FXTM’s Head of Education in Nigeria, Conrad Okongwu, the Port Harcourt seminar and workshop were a huge success in terms of audience participation, excitement and new registrations for FXTM.

The Summit then travelled to Lagos, to deliver the same seminar and workshop format from the 14th to the 19th of September. Mr. Okongwu presented both events again, bringing his financial trading expertise to the table and delivering what the eager attendees craved – forex trading knowledge! The attendees in Lagos especially praised FXTM when it comes to educational events over other brokers who host events in the region.

Fruitful Basic Technical Analysis seminar in Yangon





On the 15th of September, FX trainer Jeffrey Gi hosted the Basic Technical Analysis seminar in Yangon, Myanmar, sponsored by FXTMPartners. This one-day event attracted traders from across the region who were eager to upgrade their trading know-how with an experienced forex expert. Receiving an excellent turnout, the event was a resounding success.

The Basic Technical Analysis seminar gave traders a foundational knowledge of technical analysis – a vital part of any trader’s toolkit. In just one session, Mr Gi explained the benefits of some of the most popular technical analysis tools, including Japanese candlesticks, entry and exit levels, calculating technical stop loss, and the Pin Bar pattern. With plenty of opportunities for questions, traders were able to secure their understanding of these complex topics throughout the day.

The seminar took place at the elegant Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon, overlooking the beautiful Kandawgyi Lake. Throughout the day, attendees had opportunities to network with other likeminded traders and discuss their all-important trading strategies.

At the end of the event, participants were given a final presentation all about FXTM’s award-winning products and services – including FXTM Invest, the company’s popular copy-trading programme. Attendees were awarded a certificate and had the chance to ask any final trading questions to Jeffrey Gi.
