Tutorial Tickstory Lite. Back Tests with 99.90% Modelling Quality.

I have seen someone asking about how to install tickstory lite, in order to do back tests with 99.90%
modelling quality.
Because i had some trouble in the beginning with the program and i could not make it to work, I am
posting here a tutorial on How To.

TICKSTORY LITE.
You can download it here :

Download the rar file. Unrar.
Then in order for it to work properly, YOU WILL HAVE TO INSTALL THE FILE IN ANOTHER FOLDER THAN THE C:\Users . If you install there you wont be able to save history data and you will keep getting errors.
You will need to do the same with the program from the broker you want to install the
Tick Story. If you have installed the MT4 in the C:\Users, then uninstall and install it somewhere else.
It will be easier to create a new folder with all your MT4 in along with Tick Story.
After you have done the installation of the Tick Story, open the program and the click
File (top left) then settings. Here in the Ducascopy Datasource, you are designating the folder for the history files to be saved.
Then click on MT4 settings. Here in the MT4 Installation click Select. Locate where you have installed the MT4 broker you want to use and then click ok.
After you have done this, choose the History you want to download for the PAIR you want, from the menu you see. Choose the dates you want. The more the space you choose the bigger the download will be.
Right click, then, Export to MT4. Wait for the download to finish.
When the download is over, click Tools and then Launch MT4. Thats it, you can start your testing now with 99.90% Modelling Quality.
If you want more pairs then you will have to download their history.

IMPORTANT : Every time you want to do a back test with Tick Story Lite,
you will need to open the Tick Story Lite first and then, Tools, Launch MT4.
Otherwise it wont work.

Like i am saying in my first post above, you need to install both MT4 platform and Tick Story Lite,
to ANOTHER DESTINATION FILE than C:\Users

If you have not changed the destination WINDOWS do not allow changes in this destination.
That is why you can not save the history.
Delete the Installation of both MT4 and Tick Story Lite.
After that, Clean you PC, history Cache etc.
Create a new Folder in C :
Name it for example Installations.
After that if you have Windows 7 locate the files, right click on the files and choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.
Specify the location file and install both programs.
When you are done, try again to download the history again :)
 
In latest ver 1.7.4.0, when i export in tickstory and set spread 20 .( 2 pips) is that any effect when backtesting in build 950 metatrader? If put spread different in metatrader which one is metatrader backtester use? Tickstorys or metatrader spread?

Please explain.

In metatrader in upper window it says " No support for spread. " what they mean?
 
any friend success to do this? i also have problem... Export complete but still have an error "the remote server returned an error (404) not found".
