Question (Tanya) adakah yang pernah run MT4 di Linux?

Penasaran aja siapa atau ada yang sudah berhasil run MT4 di linux.

Sekalian mau tanya karena masih nubi, EA yang saya attach di chart kenapa bisa hilang setiap kali restart terminal di ubuntu.

Mohon bantuan suhu2.

I have two vps in Linux (one debian with lxde with X2go and one ubutnu with lxde and x2go,) and it works very well, the only drawback is that the metatrader Market does not work, then everything is perfect, (expert advisor and indicators that are not from https://www.mql5.com/en/market everything works very well),
(expert advisor and indicators that are from https://www.mql5.com/en/market can not be instaled, sinze this year, but all work very well if you can install it, I have installed several copying and pasting, with my account, but now it does not work anymore )

when I close metatrader and restart everything works where it was, it's working with same cofigurations, indicators working as where it was
Metatrader 4 and Metatrader 5, all work very well

What other files did you add to make it run smoothly?

I added mfc42.dll and wingding.ttf. wingding.ttf makes the chart understandable since it has smiley symbol.

Also, were you able to use myfxbook EA? I tried it and the respond was the myfx server is down which is not. I assume because of the incompatibility in the myfx dll file with wine

install wine the latest version, according to the instructions of this link

-- then install playonlinux if you want, make things easy for you, to install, or exec the comand /usr/bin/winecfg
-- choose between windows 7 or 10, I have used windows 10 as the default os
-- then directly click on the metatrader installer and install metatrader
-- if the metatrader menu has not yet appeared, restart the pc, and it will appear
-- I have no test myfxbook, and no need any dll files extra, only if expert advisor need that dll.

I just noticed on my other server the EA successfully initialized when restarting the MT4 terminal.

Somehow in this problem server there is no notification on the expert tab for initialization of the EA making it disappear from the chart.

Do you mean that I don't need the dll file from myfx as well to be pasted in library folder of wine?

I think so, you must place, as it is a requirement, in Metatrader folder MQL4\Libraries, not in wine folder.
but if it does not work, put it in the windows folder inside wine, in System32 folder

I tried this but still no luck. the message on my chart is "Myfxbook servers are down for maintenance.." in all ubuntu nodes that I used to install MT4. In windows it went fine.

I did not have that problem because I currently use linux only for indicators that send email signal, or demo accounts to test expert advisor
