I think we need to test the xauusd set with stop loss and limited trades as it seems to win 95% of the time only needing 1-3 trades to get the win but when it gets on the wrong side of a strong trend and with big lots the acc will be wiped. I was using it with 0.01 lots and on a small live but...

Hi Simon, I've been using this 8.2 set for the 3 days now and it doing really well and trades a lot on the xauaud gold pair but no others. I'm not complaining as is it's currently profitable with low DD but just wondering why the EA is only trading this pair? Thanks

I'm running a small IC Markets live acc trading 0.01 lots with v 8.2 and Simon's set since yesterday. It's took about 38 trades on xauaud ( no other pairs traded yet for some reason) with profit of £23, low DD and currently no floating loss. The EA is installed directly onto the MT4 terminal...

So the EA will just keep adding trades until it either goes into profit or massive DD - so you could end up with 20-30 trades out on 1 pai at a time if the trend goes against you? If this is the case, maybe have to install a separate indicator to cut off DD at certain levels i.e 10%, 50%, 80%...

Nice results Simon and thanks for your share. Can you let me know how the EA closes out trades trades when a pair is in loss/DD. Does it have a bulit in stop loss or does it just keep adding trades until it either goes into profit or busts your account.? I couldn't see the close logic...

I have similar results but I believe that if it catches a big trend it could easily blow the acc, hence if the EA could be modified to only trade 1 order instead of 2 would protect the acc in this situation. At the moment results are very good with this EA but it has the potential to wipe the...

Yes would be good if all orders could be 1 after the first hedge order instead of 2. This would reduce profit but also would reduce dd greatly. Could this be done Kris or will it require an EA modification? Thanks

I had similar bad results on ICMarkets ECN. Back test were excellent with low DD but when forward test on demo big losses.....shame. Not sure if optimizing is worth doing because the default set back tests were that good but in reality results very poor....no holy grail for me!
