The alerts are not part of the robot. You can switch them off by changing the settings of the indicator in the sub window. I do not think that you need to attach the indicators at all.

It is useful to type in the suffix because if you don't the robot uses the same magic number for all pairs.

You do not need to change the magic number. The robot set a unique number for each pair.
