Recommendation:
EA settings: Use default settings or automatic batch setup files.
Symbol: EURUSD (Do not use on other currency pairs).
Time limit: H1 chart (do not use in other time periods).
Broker: ECN broker, low spread/commission, 1:400 leverage, non-FIFO or FIFO, allowing for micro trades.
Minimum deposit: $3,000.

Live Trading Instructions:
Simply drag and drop Grid Hero EA onto the EURUSD H1 chart.
In the EA menu, enter your broker's winter GMT offset (if you are unsure, please consult your broker)*
will all Other EA settings are left as default settings. Or enable automatic batch adjustment by applying additional standard/medium/high risk kit files
* Note: The winter GMT offset default value in EA is set to 2, matching most brokers.

Real-time transaction list:
in the EA menu Under the Common tab, make sure "Allow real-time trading" is checked
on your MT4 terminal (at the top), make sure the "AutoTrading" button is enabled (green)
on the chart, making sure you see the smiley face in the upper right corner of the chart
On the chart, you should see the “Today's Optimized Trading Hours” displayed in the upper left corner of the chart
on your MT4 terminal (at the bottom), check the “Experts” and “Diary” tabs to make sure no error messages are displayed.

Back to Test Description:
Select symbol: "EURUSD"
during the selection: "H1"
select type: "every tick"
to spread: standard MT4 tester set "15" (points), or if you use the Tick data suite Birt set "Variable"
in Under the Expert Properties >> Tests tab, set the “Initial Deposit” to $3,000 (the recommended minimum amount) to
use the default EA settings for conservative risk performance (disable automatic batch adjustment)
or apply an additional automatic batch set based on your risk preferences. Auto Lot Risk Levels: Standard / Medium / High
If you prefer, you can start back testing from 2004.


When using the Birt Tick Data Suite for reverse testing, make sure you are in Tick Data Settings. The following settings are set correctly:
Under the Basic tab, set the GMT offset to "+2". This value follows the "Broker's Winter GMT Offset" value set in the EA.
Under the Basics tab, set DST to "US". This is the location of your broker's server.
Under the Basics tab, turn on Use Variable Propagation.
Under the "Advanced" tab, enable "Leverage" and set it to "1:400".

Choose your risk setting:
Conservative risk: Use default EA settings (no need to set up files)
Standard risk: Apply car batch standard risk settings file
Medium risk: Apply automatic batch number medium risk setting file
High risk: Apply vehicle batch high risk setting file
Fixed capital vehicle batch: Set “Enable fixed capital automatic batch confirmation” to true, and set fixed fund amount (no need to set file)
